When searching the Ingram Micro web site for products using Internet Explorer,
there is normally a band of text that begins near the upper left with the words
"SKU / Mfr# / UPC Search Results" and ends a little down and to the right with a
listing of the available hyperlinks to pages one can follow to see the
additional products that match the query. At the very bottom of the page, there
is another band of information that details "notes", "promos" and additionally
has the hyperlinked page numbers.

Neither of these is there in the Firefox 1.0 or in Mozilla 1.2.1 that comes with
Redhat 9.0. I am not sure if this is an issue that can be overcome with a
little tweaking in the progamming, or if it is specific to the parameters set by
the Ingram Micro web site to only work with IE.

Thanks,

RW
Where is the product search feature? I couldn't find it by browsing the site, I
assume an account is needed. If you could post a testcase here, such as a search
result obtained through File->Save Page As, then it would be possible to
determine the cause. It's most likely a case of IE specific coding.

Also, make sure that this isn't already reported as either bug 202336 or bug 156170.
Where is the product search feature? I couldn't work out how to reproduce this
bug. Do you a URL that shows the problem?
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

The latest beta releases can be obtained from:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/
Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html
Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
If you go to www.ingrammicro.com and log in as 007411 with a password of ih8snow

under IE, you will see that there are links to more pages (1,2,3,4,5...) at the
bottom. In Firefox, they are not there. There are other parts missing as well.
They probably made the page with Front Page.

Also, if you use Firefox to log into the a Packeteer Packetshaper and go to the
monitor tab and compare that to EI, you will notice that sometimes up to one
half of the information is missing at the bottom of the screen, meaning, you can
not scroll down to it.

Don't get me wrong, I love firefox and hate explorer. I never want to use
explorere again, and want all these bugs fixed, if it is humanly possible.

Currently, I just know which tool to use depending upon where I am going.

Just trying to help,

Ron Weist
Camino 2005042806 (v0.8.4)

I followed your recipe, but I am not sure that your site logged me
me in.

Camino seemed to render correctly the HTML delivered. Whilst this bug
might be eventually resolved as 'BY DESIGN', I don't have sufficient
info to recommend this.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050822
Firefox/1.6a1

I get the 'failed login' screen, and the information there says that Firefox
1.x on Windows is supported.

You might want to refer to Ingram support or provide a testcase.

Either the login name and password no longer work, or the site doesn't recognize Firefox 2 as a browser. This is on the site's end. Ron, if you can still reproduce this using Firefox 2.0.0.3 and a new profile and can provide us with a testcase of the issue, please reopen this bug.
