User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041223 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041223 Firefox/1.0+ . Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Not sure how often this is reproduceable, but this could be a big issue if it happens often. Here's how I reproduced it: 1. Go to: http://simcity.ea.com/ in Firefox. 2. Open the same site in IE. Actual Results: After a minute or more, Firefox still shows the activity icon like it is attempting to access the site. The actual page is white (and void of real content in the html). In IE, the page loads quickly. Sometimes, it would not load right away (showed a blue background), but hitting refresh allowed access. Shift+refresh in IE does take longer to load, but within several seconds. Firefox was able to access the page only a few minutes before.
Additional note: After closing Firefox and re-opening it, I was able to access the site almost immediately.
I can access the site just fine. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
This is probably gonna be one of those ones that you'll never find the cause for....
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050110 Firefox/1.0+ (Yesterday's nightly) I got the behaviour described in your last paragraph but one. (Starts: "In IE ..."). Could the original problem be a DNS issue? I imagine that the site uses heavy graphics or flash - Could IE have cached some of these? This is probably WFM.
I used the forced refresh in both IE and Firefox (I think) -- the one where you hold down the shift key and click refresh. This should force it to re-load from the server from what I know. Do you know if IE does this differently in some way?
