Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041122 Firefox/1.0
When I display an xhtml page, like the attached file, with an empty textarea
tag, <textarea/>, the following elements are wrongly interpreted as
text-content of the textarea control. As a consequence the layout will be
disordered.
I use Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.5)
Gecko/20041122 Firefox/1.0
You can't use the <textarea/> syntax unless you serve your page as an XML type
(application/xhtml+xml).

Otherwise, the page is parsed as HTML and HTML syntax applies.
