Description

[stale_fries]

Every once in a while, thunderbird will disappear from the taskbar while still
open and running. usually occurs when thunderbird is hidden by a different
application

after observing this more, I have noticed that it isn't caused by any one action
or circumstance. I have noticed, though, that this happens for Firefox also and
that it happens a lot when Thunderbird is in the background (e.g., is covered by
another window. I am not using any extensions or programs that could afect this,
in thunderbird or in the operating system. I hope this helps.

This is unfortunately a Windows problem not a Mozilla one - I've had all sorts
of programs do this to me - including MS products.
