The best example I can give is in gmail. If I compose a message, press "save
changes" to save a draft internally to gmail, and then click in the message
somewhere else, it will highlight a paragraph in inverted color as if i had
selected it, but it is not actually selected, and doesn't deselect when i click
elsewhere. i can still select other sections of the text normally at the same time.

Of course now I can't reproduce it, but it happens a lot in different text boxes.

The paragraph was "weird-selected" and then i selected the lower text normally,
but the weird-selection didn't go away. I think it always selects entire
paragraphs, but I can't promise.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

I'm amazed that this hasn't been reported by anyone else. I have had this
problem consistently for a long time on several computers. It is difficult to
reproduce, but I will keep this in mind when I see it next, and try to give more
details and a screenshot. Perhaps it's related to an extension that I use on
every computer instead of the core Firefox code?

I've just learned to live with it and don't notice it as much anymore. That's
not a good thing. :-)
I believe this has been fixed. I haven't noticed it lately.

Well, that's good, even if it's odd that only you saw it.
