Hi, hope this is the right way to submit an enhancement to Sunbird. If not, please move it there, sorry for the inconvenience. It would be a very cool feature, if Sunbird was able to write upcoming events onto an image file. Then it would be possible to have desktop wallpapers which have the most important infos right there. A program that has that feature is Active Desktop Calendar from XemiComputers for Windows. Have a look at the screenshots here: http://www.xemico.com/adc/index.html Active Desktop Calendar also adds desktop interaction (I mean, you can click on an entry or calendar date on your desktop wallpaper and the relevant program menu will pop up). This might be difficult to achieve, since the mozialla suite comes for a lot of OSs, but this is just a convenience issue. I have used this function for some time and find it quite useful if you only have few events every day. As far as I know, Outlook and many other commercial programs do not have such a feature, so it might increase Sunbird's popularity. ;)

Marking WONTFIX per decision on QA working session. It's out of our scope and therefore extension fodder. We should look at other ways to inform the user, e.g. minimizetotray support and sliders (like Tb).
