Details

with opera/IE it is possible to make links on webpages to "file://XXX/...." and
by clicking on it, they resolve XXX (no matter if it is an IP, a DNS name or a
samba name) and navigate to this location, and start/load the file.

with firefox it is, at least in my eyes, very strange:
first it is file://///SERVER with 5 / but well....
if i start browsing a samba share, and at some point click on a mp3 file, it
correctly sends this file/url to my mp3 player. but if the very same link
appears in some html file it does not work! only if i copy the link, and insert
it as url, then it works.
