Details

Home Page - whether blank or specific - always "times out" when starting Firefox. After it reports the "time-out"t" problem, it works fine
Can you provide the version of Firefox you are using, shown at bottom of Help-about?
without more information this bug is invalid. by the way, I don't believe about:blank can cause a net timeout.
