First a story behind my idea: I was playing on a game site with java and these Macromedia Flash ads that appear always stall or slow down my game for some reason. The reason does not matter in this case, but then it got me thinking, if Firefox can block Pop-up Windows, why not block usage of plug-ins for sites of your choosing? Behold (da da da daaaa!) the Plug-In Blocker! This feasable idea would be implanted in the web features section of the properties window, you add a site to the list and then you select the plug-ins that are not to be used at all on that site! If there is an applet using the program on the page, you know when you het that puzzle piece when plug-ins are required? You would get a picture of a plug with a lock on it (or whatever the theme specifies) with the message "Plug-in Blocked, click here to activate it for this session if needed" or something like that. This is a feasable idea and might actually work.
