Details

I see a lot of requests for all applications (mozilla, thunderbird, firefox) to
minimize them to the tray. I guess this feature has not been implemented because
it is also available as an extension?
Anyway, I think Thunderbird should have a real minimize function. It should not
just visibly minimize to the tray, but it should also minimize it's use of
resources when you put it in the tray. Why run a complete program when you just
want it to check for e-mail at regular intervals in the baqckground?
