It seems that thunderbird has problems checking mail with POP3 over SSL on Port 110. Here is the log from thunderbird: 0[2343d0]: mail.pop3_response_timeout=45 0[2343d0]: OnResponseTimeout: username=lists Here is the log from the MTA: Tue 2005-01-04 11:04:04: Session 6099; child 1 Tue 2005-01-04 11:02:19: Accepting POP connection from [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx : 3861] Tue 2005-01-04 11:02:19: --> +OK xxxxxxxxx.de POP MDaemon 7.2.2 ready Tue 2005-01-04 11:04:04: Socket connection closed by the other side (how rude!) Tue 2005-01-04 11:04:04: POP session complete (Bytes in/out: 105/99) Tue 2005-01-04 11:04:04: ---------- It works fine without SSL and with SSL on port 995.
Summary: POP3 over SSL on Port 110 → Timeout with POP3 over SSL on Port 110
So your MTA speaks SSL on port 110?
No POP3 protcol log for login and "+OK xxxxxxxxx.de POP MDaemon 7.2.2 ready" response? If other log data is available in your protocol log file, see Bug 270014 comment #9 and Bug 273369 comment #8. See also Bug 277071.
