as I'm pretty sure it already happened in the past for some releases :-/
(I tried a search, but there are too many bugs around to find the one I would
want...)

Bug can only be seen on subfolders not on top position in the folder.
Subfolders open, if they are at top position in the folder.
A subfolder doesn´t open, if a file is at top position in that folder.

There are a lot of checkins for mail or makefiles, and others,
but two big ones, maybe having todo with this bug:

Bug 263360  Make CallCreateInstance use NS_GetComponentManager instead of
nonfrozen/deprecated nsComponentManager symbols

Bug 258521  Want to make it easier to convert between nsIView and nsIScrollableView

Seems to be fixed by the patch from Bug 271891. WFM with Mozilla 1.8b build
2005012506 on WinNT4. Same for Firefox Bug 276017.
