The address bar should take the Google search bar functionality in this way:
In the right corner where it is the Google search bar now should be only the
icon of the Google or other search engine, if that icon is pressed the address
bar should take the functionality of the Google search bar and everything that
is typed in the address bar should be search on Google or any search engine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Remember only the icon of the Google should be present instead of the entire
search bar, and if that icon is pressed the address bar should take the search
function.

Actual Results:
Remember only the icon of the Google should be present instead of the entire
search bar, and if that icon is pressed the address bar should take the search
function.

Expected Results:
In this way the address bar it will have more space to display some long
addresses and we have more space to add some icons on it like "Open a new tab"
or to show the "Download window" etc.
Why toggling between a "search mode" and "surfing mode"? It is harder to learn
for users.

Also if the UI is like that, user will probably need more clicks for performing
the same action.
It's not hard to use at all, and does'nt need many clicks other than pressing
once on the Google icon to activate the search function. Press again if you
wanna browse a site, simple as that.
This is really a change that should be made in Firefox.
Toggling the effect of a textbox is going to cause more problems than having a
discrete search box. We broke away from a shared search function like this long
ago, and we're not going back. This could be useful as an extension, but we
will not implement this in Firefox.

If u could explain what problems it will cause ?

You are sayng that people will not know how to use it ? give me a break we're
not on the stone age anymore and arguing the ideea that users will not know how
to use it's really stupid. Tell me then how they know how to write with Bold,
Underline, Italic, etc. in a Word document ? where they need to do the same thing
like that one that I have prupose it, to press one button to activate a
function and to press it again to dezactivate it.

I was going to reply and explain why this is WONTFIX, but then I saw that Mike
Connor already did that, and you ignored it.

This can be done by an extension if you just can't live without it.

As I can see without extensions Firefox is a dead product. I need to install
many extensions to expand his functionality, that otherwise SUX.

Tell me what's the meaning of developing a software that SUX and needs many
extensions to work well ???

I actually remove completelly the Google search bar from the Navigation Toolbar
and instead add Download progress and Hystory icons.
I guess everyone that do not agree with your ideas to bundle a long Google
search bar intead of a small Google icon, should do the same and remove the
Google search bar completely.

You have mis the point of making two ways of making a search one with the actual
Google search bar and another with a single Google icon, and the user will
select the one that best fits their needs.
What are youre arguments now ? to not implement one single icon alongside with
the actual Google search bar and user to chose wath metod to use ?

Antonio, you don't have to use it, that's it.

You can install extensions as many as you like.
It's by design, thus not bad at all. The software
need no extension. You need a extension, maybe
or not.
