277276 - Checks for mail whenever main window is opened?

The program seems to always check for mail on our university server whenever the
mail window is opened, regardless of the time since the last mail check (I have
it set to check for mail every 10 minutes).  This causes a problem when the main
window is closed and subsequently reopened within one minute because my mail
server rejects mail requests less than 1 minute apart (I think it is common for
Pop servers to place a time limit on mail checks so i doubt I am the only one
experiencing this bug).  

The rejection sends the program into this almost endless loop of telling me that
the request was rejected over and over.  I have to click the Ok button in the
message window and then quickly try to click the stop button on the main mail
window to get it to stop.  otherwise it keeps repeating the message over and over.

Get POP3 protocol log and attach log file to this bug(don't paste long data).

protocol log.
Do not forget to change "protocol:5" to "POP3:5" when POP3.
Please note that log file is overlayed on restart.

By the way, a workaround :
  Uncheck "Check for new messages on startup",
  then use "Get all new messages" under "Get Msgs" button when restarted.
