277357 - Exiting Thunderbird sometimes does not terminate

Sometimes when exiting Thunderbird on Win98, the window will close, but the
thunderbird.exe process will not terminate.  It is still running and displayed
when the user issues ctrl-alt-del.  If the user tries to execute thunderbird.exe
while in this state, no thunderbird window appears.  

Workarounds:
(1) If new mail arrives, a 'new mail notice' will appear, and double clicking
this icon in the toolbar will bring up a usable thunderbird window.

(2) ctrl-alt-del, terminate thunderbird, start normally.

Probably a dupe of bug 246909, altho that's reported under WinXP.
