Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) I'm asked for the e-mail account password several times per session. It only occurs with accounts at "freemail.de"/"web.de". This does happen with both Mozilla Thunderbird and Netscape. I guess it is some restriction by web.de as it's also not allowed to fetch new mails again within 15 minutes after the last one via POP3. It would be nice if I didn't have to reenter my password when I have accidentally tried to get new mails and get the web.de error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up an E-Mail.Account at http://www.freemail.de/ 2. Make Thunderbird check regularly for new mail within 10 minutes via POP Actual Results: I get the message "enter your password" after some time again. Expected Results: Not asking for the password again

AFAIK if an error occurs the password is reset and you'll be prompted for it. I don't know on which errors this happens. So be sure to set the interval to a value > 15 min for email checking.

You could save your password and then tb will never ask you again. Also you should check for mails every 15 minutes not every 10 because of the restriction of web.de

Thanks for the comments. :) I wish that Thunderbird would just ignore those "bogus" errors though ... As this happens if you're are clicking on "get new messages" by accident as well.
