Mozilla sets print orientation to "Landscape" and doesn't offer a user choice to change the preference

Details
Mozilla (both web navigator and mail services) defaults print orientation to
"Landscape" and forces the user to change the orientation to "Portrait"
manually, each time, despite the printer's default orientation set as "Portrait"
to start with. I have not been able to find anywhere in Mozilla's Preferences
where I can change the print orientation default.

Hello,
Can you provide more info?
What are your settings for
File/Page Setup.../Format & Options/Format/Orientation
What is the revision version (e.g. rv:1.7.6) and build ID of your browser
application?
In your about:config, what are the values for the properties
print.save_print_settings
print.use_global_printsettings
print.use_native_print_dialog
Can you try with the latest nightly build
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/latest/
and make sure you have
print.save_print_settings
set to true and
File/Page Setup.../Format & Options/Format/Orientation
set to Portrait
