Details

Just made hardware updates using Win98. All was well. Then had to upgrade to XP
and now Firefox will not load properly.

None of the action buttons appear.
None of the drop down menus will appear except as black boxes.
No scroll bars.
The search bar is visible but the drop down menu of search engines/sites is
solid black except for the icons!
The address bar displays only half the address vertically.

Firefox has basically reverted to something resembling an early text browser!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no change.

Thunderbird, Netscape and IE are unaffected.
Creating a new profile would probably fix it. See the instructions for that at:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile .
