Summary says it all. My browser crashes every time I try to visit this URL.
Visiting the google cache of the site also causes a browser crash.
What java version do you have? I get no crash with 1.4.2_06

Maybe is not a java problem :
I crashed with Moz 1.8a5 (TB3053706H), and I haven't got java.
But with Moz 1.8a6 this page no longer crashes..

I am having the same problem with Firefox crashing every time I visit

http://commercialappeal.com

our local newspaper. I am relatively new to FF, and last night updateds to
1.0.4. I am using OSX.3.9 for Mac, running a G4/466 with plenty of memory. It
does NOT crash Safari or Internet Explorer. I am trying to find a fix, but am
an amateur, and not sure how to report the bug. Most of the lingo is greek to me.

I might add that the last time I tried today, not only did it crash Firefox, but
my entire system. I ran DiskWarrior and seems ok.
Reporter: Do you crash with the Deer Park Alpha 1 build from
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/?
no bug for me in Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8b4)
Gecko/20050725 and Java(TM) Plug-in 1.5.0_04-b05
Having the same problem with this and other URLs (example: cota.com). Firefox just spontaneously closes, no crash message from Windows or Talkback. Using Firefox 1.5 with WinXP SP2.
This problem isn't confined to Firefox. I tried visiting a couple of these problem URLs in IE as a workaround, and they made IE crash too. A problem with one of MS's recent Windows Updates perhaps?
Its working fine for me... No crashes...
Frank already asked confirmation with a newer build and no word from the reporter for a while...

so closing it as WFM.
