RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 143038

Details

Earlier versions of Firefox/Mozilla used horizontal scrolling - via SideTrack,
trackpad software (http://www.ragingmenace.com/software/sidetrack/); or probably
a mouse with a tilt wheel - to scroll horizontally. This behavior was helpful,
and consistent with Safari and other applications that support scrolling
horizontally.

At some point, the functionality changed to Back and Forward. This is less
useful (with the trackpad, it's often difficult to go Back just one page),
disorienting when the intended action is to scroll horizontally, inconsistent
with other applications, and AFAIK, can't be changed/customized.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a web page; e.g., Slashdot.org. Click a link that opens in the same window.
2. Resize the window so that the horizontal scrollbar appears.
3. Use a trackpad or mouse with a horizontal scroll functionality to scroll to
the left and right.

Actual Results:
The browser goes Back, loading the previous page, then Forward.

Expected Results:
The content on the second page loaded is scrolled horizontally to the left and
right.
now, when pref that concerns wheel scroll is appropriately set,
the horizontally scroll is possible.
