User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041208 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041208 Firefox/1.0+ Even with the "resize large images to fit the browser window" option turned off some images are still resized. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Turn off the resize option 2.Load the testcase Actual Results: Image displays resized to fit the browser (the testcase only seems to change the width, although the first image I saw the problem with was resized in both dimensions) Expected Results: Display full size.

I just checked - this works in FF 1.0. I'll see if I can narrow it down any further.
It worked on the 20041204 build but not the 20041208 build.

Screenshot of the problem taken using the 20040111 nightly and a blank profile. There should be a scrollbar at the bottom, there isn't.
Now i see what you see, reason for this is that you have position absolute and left and top set to 0 in the code. This has nothing to do with the option to resize images. Updating summary to better reflect the issue.

Summary: images are resized to fit browser window even when option is turned off → No horizontal scrollbar when having large absolute positioned picture
Changed summary back. There's no scrollbar because the image has been resized to fit. The green bar at the edge of the testcase should be off the screen, it isn't, so the image must have been resized.
Summary: No horizontal scrollbar when having large absolute positioned picture → images are resized to fit browser window even when option is turned off
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050111 Firefox/1.0+ Confirming ->NEW adding width/height solves the problem, but that's not the right solution offcourse. <html> <body> <img src="bigpic.jpg" style="position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px;width:948px;height:1267px"> </body> </html>

(In reply to comment #8) > There's no scrollbar because the image has been resized to fit. The green bar > at the edge of the testcase should be off the screen, it isn't, so the image > must have been resized. Yes you are right, sorry for the confusion.
Should be fixed as of a week ago, but please reopen if this is still an issue in a Jan 25 or newer build.... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 279579 ***
