First file onvariably downloads fine. Subsequent ones sometimes conclude without
reporting errors but the file generated is corrupt. Closing and restarting
Firefox can then result in a succssful download but sometimes a reboot of PC is
required.

Note that the target files I have had failures with will always download
properly if I switch to Microsoft Internet Explorer.

I have been unable to reproduce this under 1.0 Final and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows;
U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050107 Firefox/1.0+. 

Do you have any extensions installed and have you tried a complete uninstall and
reinstall of Firefox?
