Using 2000-02-14-08m14 commercial build on NT 4.0 Using 2000-02-14-09m14 mozilla build on linux rh6.0 Haven't gotten to mac yet After using Stop to interrupt the downloading of new POP messages, I can't get new messages again within the mail session. 1. Launch a POP account profile. (my profiles had leave messages on server enabled, don't know yet if this would make a difference) (my prpofiles did not use remember password or master password for single signon). 2. Select Inbox. 3. From another machine/user, send quite a few messages (I did about 10-15). 4. Click Get Msg on the 5.0 pop account, provide proper password. Click Stop during the new message download before all headers are downloaded. 5. Click Get Msg again. Nothing happens, no new message headers are retrieved although there are indeed some to get. No new status text present on the status bar. 6. Switch to another folder and back to inbox. Click Get Msg again. Nothing happens. 7. Exit and return, select pop inbox. Note the inbox is in the same state. 8. Get msg again and now the remaining messages are downloaded. Actual result: Get message won't retrieve new messages if Stopped during initial header download for the mail session. Must exit and return to be able to resume retrieving new messages. Expected result: Get message should work again after Stop. Note: I didn't see this using IMAP (although I haven't tried numerous times).

On Linux build 2000.02.14.09, I don't have this problem (I do have the one filed as bug 26770). I also don't seem to have it when I turn Single Signon off.

I haven't tried testing this yet, but I'll try to get to it today.

this is failing because the pop server is considered "busy" - I don't know this code, but somehow I need to clear this "busy" flag when stop is pressed. This would be easier if my OnCancel method was actually getting called, but it doesn't.
