Details

Basically I installed mozilla mail, and had the browser 1.7 running on my
machine which I tried to use as my mail client once. Then I decided to use
thunderbird. It looked cool. I installed it. Imported all my data and a month
later I decided to backup all my emails. The only way I could find to
backup/restore was to go on your computer, find the data files, and copy them to
make the backup. I did this and to test the backup I uninstalled thunderbird
and erase all thunderbird data from my computer, assuming this would erase all
my emails, and then I'd be able to restore them.

Well it turns out I backed up a previous mozilla mail client's mail, and I lost
a month's worth of mail/data. I felt like an idiot.

The moral is, Thunderbird needs to grow up and like every mature mail client, if
you were able to create the backup of your emails/contacts and data within the
mail client, and able to import what you exported as a backup function, this
problem would never happen.
