If I eneter URL like

ftp://[e-mail]

Firefox prompts for username and password in blank dialog box. It would be great
if username field in dialog box is automatically filled from username specified
in URL.

I just tried with FireFox 1.0.2 on WinXP an URL like ftp://user@server and the
dialog that popped up asked only for a password.
INVALID ?
