Since I upgraded my mozilla to 1.7.5-1 (using apt-get in Debian) my bookmarks
have totally disappeared. Using the bookmark manager to create new ones
doesnt't work properly: creating folders doesn't always work, every new created
folder seems to replace an earlier created one. As soon as I close and re-open
mozilla web-browser (I don't use other apps in the mozilla suite, so I don't
know about those) alle my bookmarks disppeared again.
please try a build from .mozilla.org (1.7.7 is the latest)
also check the permissions for the files in your profile directory (and the
directory itself)
this bug is also present on Firefox 1.0.4, on Windows platform. It happened
before that the bookmarks toolbar appeared and dissapeared from strange reasons,
but now ALL the bookmarks - that yesterday were there - are missing. Not even
the default ones doesn't show up...

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
