User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910

I tried to access www.turbotax.com but Turbo Tax web doesn't support Mozilla web
browsers. I can't access www.turbotax.com utilizing Mozilla web browser. The
actual msg is "Turbotax doesn't support the web browser you are using. You must
use windows XP,I/E, Netscape 7 or AOL 7. Since using Mozilla, this is the only
problem I've encountered & I really enjoy using Mozilla web browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to www.turbotax.com
2.Click on returning 2004 users..Look at the top left screen.
3. Once you click ..returning 2004 users, it will give you the error msg.
Actual Results:
it will say Turbo tax does not support your current web browser...which is my
Mozilla browser.

Expected Results:
It should open up the turbotax home page so I can file my taxes.
Browser detection looks specifically for Netscape 7.x and doesn't let other
Gecko browsers pass.

They even don't allow NS 7.2 on all OS, see the JS code from
http://www.turbotax.intuit.com/welcome/common/version.js. They block NS 7.x on
Win95 and WinNT4 (Why???). It seems that they try to support Firefox (only!) but
it does not work.
Tried switching the user agent but it didn't work. The following link however
seems to avoid the browser check and let you access the site.

https://turbotaxweb.intuit.com/open/registration/SignIn.htm
When I had this problem I used the JavaScript debugger to bypass the checks. Once I got to the page after the check I could just go there and things were fine.

That said, the 2005 edition works fine on Mozilla (I used SeaMonkey 1.0).
Turbotax.com online does not support Camino. It does not enable me to log in. It leads me to this page:

http://turbotax.intuit.com/system_requirements_check.jhtml?continue=true

I can still use Firefox, however.

Thanks!

And still can't in 2008. Can someone please contact them and teach them how to code a website that supports all browsers properly?
1) Go to http://turbotax.intuit.com/
2) Click sign in to my account in the top right
3) click continue a 2007 return

Says it is checking system compatibility but nothing ever happens
In Mac OS 10.4, when clicking on the link on turbotax.com to get started, a page comes up listing system compatability and says I should have a min. of v 1.07 in order to use Firefox. Turbotax worked for me before downloading the new Firefox beta.
