This is more of a useablity issue than a bug, but I haven't found this problem addressed elsewhere. If you have an email that was sent "To:" several recepients, then open the email from the "Sent" folder then "Edit As New", it is hard to delete the list of recipients so that new recipients can be assigned. It seems that the delete key should be used to delete the exisiting list of recipients, however this doesn't work well. A clumsy combination of backspaces then deletes must be used. This is cumbersome. I also keep wanting to select a group of addressee's and delete the whole group at once - however this doesn't work, either. When I click on Properties of the address box and hit Select All, it just selects one "To:" field, not all of them. Additionally, entering a list of recipients into one "To:" field separated by semicolons (as done in Outlook) doesn't work well, the auto-complete address book doesn't come up except for the first recipient address in the "To: field. As usual, I may be totally missing something obvious here, but I haven't found any options to deal with these problems. -John Anderson

Bug 252665 is about implementing the Mozilla Suite's Address dialog capability, which is more functional than the Addressing Sidebar in Thunderbird, altho still clunky. Bug 143147 is about the general problem of a simpler means of deleting addresses in the compose window. You might want to vote for that one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 252665 ***
