278179 - Allow manual entry of path names for helper apps

This is related to bug 176486. Since there seems to be a big issue with path
normalisation, I would like to be able to enter a path manually instead of
picking one with the file chooser.

Currently, once you choose a helper app, you cannot modify the path name
displayed by TB. If I was given permission to do so, I would be aple to remove
the path normalization and point to my symbolic link instead.
