Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 If a user opens a file (such as a Word Document) from Firefox by using the "Open With", then saves it, Firefox will delete the file even though it has been edited and modified by the user. This could potentially have very very bad results if the user was spending hours (such as myself :)) on editing a document, closing it and saving it, then closing Firefox. All of that data is lost unless data recovery software is used. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit a web page that contains links to .doc files 2. Edit the document and save it 3. Close firefox Actual Results: The file that was created in the temp folder is deleted Expected Results: In my opinion, "Open With" should be the same thing as saving it. Sure we're not specifying the exact location that we'd like the file to be saved, but it shouldn't delete it. This is completely not what the user expects.
