Firefox 1.0 running on Gnome window manager. when downloading a file of any size the download manager will keep showing even after the download is finished. the "close download manager when all downloads are finished" is checked. now, if i keep the download manager open and i download another file then the download manager will close with no problem, only to do the same the next time i download a file. if i do close it manuanlly it will show the same bug the next time i download a file i've seen this behaivior under Windows 2000 and XP as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. download a file 2. when the file download is finished the download manager keeps showing 3. n/a Actual Results: the download manager still shows Expected Results: close the download manager after finishing the download
(In reply to comment #1) > see e.g. Bug 243324 ok, so? is it fix? if yes, how? i still think this is a bug
Please can you mark this a duplicate of bug 243324. URI at the top of these bug reports is the status. You can see that it has been set to NEW which means that the bug has been confirmed but not yet resolved. It's actually got a patch waiting review and once it passes that and checked in you can download the latest nightly builds with the fix. Anyway it has been marked to block the release of Firefox 1.1 meaning the next major version of Firefox won't be released until that bug is fixed.
