I the Firefox browser open to Yahoo! I then opened another instance of Firefox
and logged into to my ebay account. After I completed reviewing my login
account with ebay, I simply closed this instance of Firefox.

However, when I went to my first Firefox browser, which was viewing Yahoo, I then
clicked on http://www.ebay.com and went to login to my ebay account again, but
the browser already knew my userid and password for my ebay account.

Note:

I had two different copies of Firefox opened. The first one to Yahoo and the
second one to Ebay. I closed the second one and then in the first one I clicked
on my ebay loging URL and was already logged in.

I know a bit about web sites and web development and this seems like a problem
to me.
You never opened a second copy of Firefox, you opened a second window on the
same running instance.
