User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Thunderbird release version 1.0 (20041206)

When viewing an RSS feed (with the focus in the message window, so I can use the
arrows and PgUp/PgDn to scroll the message), if I type 'n' to go to the next
message, TB changes the focus to the list-of-messages window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Expected Results:
The focus should always stay where I manually put it.

Not using any themes or extensions except Enigmail, which I don't think is relevant.
For me this also happens when browsing through newsgroups, but *only* when I
hit 'n' while on the last unread message. Thunderbird will ask if it should
move to the next newsgroup and if I press SPACE to say 'yes', the focus will
not return to the message index pane -- I'm not even sure where, exactly, the
focus goes, but it doesn't seem to go to the mailbox list nor the message
window).

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Reproduced in Thunderbird version 1.0.6 (20050716). Would someone with the

Works for me too. When I press 'n' in a News & Blogs feed on either TB2 or Shredder, focus moves to the thread pane. Pressing up/down arrow moves to next/previous article and doesn't scroll message.
