Could be a duplicate of <a
href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162134">162134</a>, but those
don't seem to have renderings OVER the tabs (and outside the page area).

Load up <a href="http://www.homestead.com/prosites-niyh/hom_eng.html">this
page</a> and scroll up and down. The applet (or whatever the heck that thing is)
will overlap the tabs and refresh incorrectly. It will often appear on other
tabbed pages as well.

I have the 1.0-JEP-0.8.9 MRJ plugin as well.

I'm the Java Embedding Plugin's author, and I'm able to reproduce what
you report on Mac OS X 10.3.7 (with Java 1.4.2 Update 2), though not
on OS X 10.2.8 (with Java 1.4.1).

> The applet (or whatever the heck that thing is)

I assume you mean the thing in the upper right that says (among other
things) "Click here and book on line". Yes, it's an applet (its class
name is xoSlidingM). I've rarely seen one more evil :-)

By the way, since this _is_ a bug in the Java Embedding Plugin (or
more likely an Apple bug that the JEP doesn't yet know how to work
around), you should have filed a bug report at the Java Embedding
Plugin's Bugs tracker:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=649116&group_id=107955&func=browse

Please do so. I'll start working on this anyway. But my followups
will be at the JEP's Bugs tracker.

I'm breaking my own promise ... but I forgot to test in Safari. It
also has the scrolling problem (on OS X 10.3.7), so this is definitely
a bug in Apple's JVM. I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to do
about this, but I'll continue looking into it.

Safari doesn't, of course, have tabbed browsing.

Summary: appletXOScroller overlaps tabs, tabbed pages → xoSlidingM overlaps tabs, tabbed pages

I've submitted a bug:

for now, duplicate
