Details
Firfox biuld, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041110 Firefox/1.0 Problem, using 5 button logitec MX900 mouse I cannot get the back and forward )page) buttons to work with Firefox. These work as normal with explorer but with Firefox everytime I press either of the back or forward buttons I get a momentary hour glass pointer icon but the web page does not change. I cannot find any way to set up firefox in this respect, but have found the the short cuts used by both browsers are the same so I cannot see why firefox does not work!

Summary: no 5 button mouse function → no 5 button mouse function (Logitech)
Are you using the latest Logitec drivers? I had similar problems using the MX700 with the Mozilla browser until I downloaded the latest drivers.
