User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020 Firefox/0.10.1 Visiting this site causes the browser to enter a cpu-busy hang. Navigation doesn't work and the window manager close icon doesn't work. I have to kill it from a shell. The titlebar does appear and some of the page content appears some of the time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. visit http://sbc.net (expecting southwestern bell corp. ISP division) 2. See title bar indicating it's actually the site of an xtian church 3. wait for rest of page to load, but it doesn't. Actual Results: Browser is wedged. There is lots of Javascript on the page but the wedging happens even with JS disabled in the browser. Expected Results: Don't wedge
As for the site, I think you have the address confused or something: sbc.net Registrant: Executive Committee Southern Baptist Convention (SBC11-DOM) Page itself loads without issue for me; Window is responsive. WFM Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050114 Firefox/1.0+. I guess this is a firefox 0.10.1 bug.
you're definitely on the wrong site if your looking for a Bell company. Anyway, the browser shouldn't crash on that site, no matter what you're looking for. I assume you got a problem with your flash. The site works for me. Have a look at http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/ and see if that fixes your problem. Please report back here?
(In reply to comment #1) > I guess this is a firefox 0.10.1 bug. Please dont file bugs with older builds. At least test with 1.0.
Yes, I'm aware that sbc.com is the Southern Baptist Convention; I went to it expecting Southwestern Bell but found out otherwise. I don't have Flash installed and don't want to install it. I think I did get that missing-plugin frame that I get all the time (there seems to be no way to turn that off). I'm using the 1.0 preview release which I thought was pretty recent. If you guys say it works with 1.0 then I'll take your word for it. I will upgrade sooner or later and try again, but don't want to upgrade just for the sake of a site that I only visited by accident.
Bah, I meant sbc.net is the Baptists. sbc.com is the telco.
