Major Applet Problems: 

After this applet downloads and if you try and use it, it will freeze and then
crash.

This applies to all Applets: for further reference click on my Calculators
Center (http://www.martindalecenter.com/Calculators.html) and try any Applet,
There are over 19,000 Calculators in it and approximately 50% plus are applets. 

When any applet completely load and then when you try and use it, i.e., input
any information in it, it will freeze/hangs and then Crash.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to (http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/nepac-ir4-loop.html)
2. Let it download
3. Click on stop

Actual Results:  
The Mozilla freezes/hangs and then crashes

Expected Results:  
The applet should have worked

fixed means "code was checked in to fix this bug" - "it turns out not to have
been a bug" is either worksforme (can't imagine why that would happen) or
invalid (oops, that wasn't a bug).
