278961 - No way to clear address bar from previously typed URL's

While you can clear form & search data in Firefox, you still cannot clear the
address bar from previously typed URL's. They continue to accumulate - out of
sequence. Can you update the browser to include this feature, and make it so
that the last typed URL shows first in the dropdown list?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open browser, type URL, press enter, close browser.
2. Open browser, click address bar dropdown list, notice your URL is not there. 
3. Attempt to clear address bar list, cannot be done.

Actual Results:  
I have this extremely long list of URL's, in no discernable order.

Expected Results:  
It should have allowed me to clear the address bar URL list.

The dropdown list never works the first time it is clicked. I have to click it
twice to make it show me the list of URL's I have typed.

The dropdown list [in the Location Bar] never works the first time it is
clicked. I have to click it twice to make it show me the list of URL's I have
typed. [The Location Bar has a bug in it]

Clearing the Location Bar is a feature of Netscape, and Mozilla. Why has it not
been added to Firefox? If there is a better way to request enhancements, other
than bugging Bugzilla, then please let me know.
