This happens even if no bugs are present in the old product. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Created a produt and enter components. 2. Delete the product. 3. Click on reports then new charts. 4. You should see the deleted product and all its components available. Expected Results: New Charts should behave like the "old charts" and most of the other reports.

The new charts don't work by product. They have categories which are completely independent. The fact that they're named after the products was a convenient way to migrate the data from the old system. At present, I don't believe you can delete a category, but that's coming.

Indeed. Just because the product has gone away doesn't necessarily mean you want all the historical data to go away. Series deletion will appear at a later date. Gerv

Just to be useful, do we have an SQL query that can be run for example if someone really wants to delete one?

Is this data important even if the catagory has no bugs associated with it?

That's a decision for you to make (or will be when we implement deletion), not Bugzilla :-) If you don't want to see the category, put it in a group no-one is a member of. Er, oops, we don't have a UI for that either. :-( Gerv
