User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050110 Firefox/1.0 (Debian package 1.0+dfsg.1-2)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050110 Firefox/1.0 (Debian package 1.0+dfsg.1-2)

When a history item is selected and shift is held while another is selected, the
second item opens in a new window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the history sidebar.
2. Click an item.
3. Hold shift and click another item.

Actual Results:
The second item is opened in a new window.

Expected Results:
The expected Windows and Linux behavior with lists is for the intermediate items
to be selected.

Both the ctrl+click action and the shift+click behavior is normal for _Firefox_,
provided the items are considered links. However, it is not the expected GUI
behavior for a list. When holding shift and using the arrow keys or pagedown,
effect is normal for a list. This is somewhat confusing for the user.
single-click history is standard on IE, so this shouldn't be unexpected for
users. FYI, Bookmarks also does the same thing.

If you want to do multi-select, clicking in the rows to the left of the actual
entry will work.

This is by design, and is not going to be altered.
