User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

When performing HTTP POST with Basic Authentication, the HTTP header
"Authorization " will be ended with "\r\n\n" instead of "\r\n". It will break
some web server, e.g. boa

This is a "ethereal" capture when making a POST on the URL provided:

POST /post-test/test.cgi HTTP/1.1
Host: www.michaelchan.org
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5)
Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Accept:
text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5
Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5
Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate
Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7
Keep-Alive: 300
Connection: keep-alive
Referer: http://www.michaelchan.org/post-test/
Authorization: Basic YWRtaW46YWRtaW4= <-- \r\n
                                            <-- \n
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded <-- \r\n
Content-Length: 0

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.michaelchan.org/post-test/
2. Login to the page with "admin" / "admin".
3. Start ethereal capture (refer to www.ethereal.com)
4. Click the submit button
5. Stop the ethereal capture and "Follow TCP Stream" on the HTTP POST packet.
6. Switch to hex dump mode and search for "Authorization"

Actual Results:
It breaks the boa web server.

Expected Results:
The "\n" should be removed from Authorization line during HTTP POST.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

This problem is just verified and is still found in 1.5.0.1.

The bug is a stupid one. M$ IE does not have this bug! It should be fixed and easily be fixed. Please do not ignore.
