Does nobody pay attention to "talkback" crash dumps especially when several of them occur regularly from one source. 1.8b has crashed at least 5 times today and numerous times before since about 1.8a3. So badly that I gave up tracking 1.8 alpha and went to use 1.7.3. Since today's numerous crashes occur when I'm away from the keyboard or busy in another foreground application, I have to assume its related to a background task such as polling for new mail or checking new mail as junk or not. I have 12 IMAP mail accounts, some IMAP over SSL. Several of the mailboxes have hundreds of emails in them (892, 633, 479). Explicitly clicking on the Inbox of each account to login does not trigger problem. Will someone please review the talkback dumps. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

And all that means what? Is it related to mail or some background activity as I suspect? I tried last night's rebuild: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050120 and it too crashed: TB3194866M

I'm having the sneaking suspicion that this some how relates more to the "biff" pop-up after a poll for new mail. The last three crashes I hear the "ping" for new mail, I don't see the pop-up, and the program dies. TB3195551G, TB3194967E
