User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Tried it on linux and windows 2000 actually just typing http//: is enough, but providing any address will have it replaced by the MS site. I suspect this is not a bug, but a feature of auto-complete but it's also really weird Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.enter http//:any.address.com in location bar 2.press enter 3. Actual Results: end up at www.microsoft.com Expected Results: probably either show an error and refuse to go further or see this specific error and correct it silently, replacing the 'http//:' with 'http://' No crash, just emotional chock at dragged towards the MS site Beside that, I have no clue why it ends at MS. Specially if running Linux. I noticed autocomplet had replaced the wrong 'http//:' by the even more wrong 'http://http//:' in the history logically it could have been replaced by www.http.com, but it wasn't.
