I'm getting an intermittent problem with the way mouse left-button clicks are
handled.
Sometimes I click on a link and nothing happens. When this happens I have to
hold the button down and release it and then the browser follows the link. I
even get this problem sometimes with your "O" icon just below the titlebar close
button. (Which should load the "firefox central" page.)
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on a link
2. nothing happens
3. press, hold, release mouse button down when that happens
Actual Results:
sometimes I have to hold the mouse button down and release it then it follows
the link (press, hold, release)
Expected Results:
follow the link immediately after the button click
I have the Intellimouse software installed and the middle mouse button is
configured for a double-click. The left button is always set for normal
operation. Firefox is the only application that has this problem - all other
applications handle left-clicks OK.
This issue doesn't relate to middle-click or right-click buttons.

I do have a similar problem but even holding mouse click on link doesn't work.
I'm using Firefox 1.0.4
I'm not sure about it but it seems that it occured after the latest TabBrowser
extension installation (version is 1.14.2005060802
Right clik and middle clik is working properly

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

I have a similar problem with 1.5 beta 1 if I click a link or the back button
sometimes it does not register and I have to click again. I do not need to hold
down the mouse button though for it to work

works for me in Firefox 1.5 beta 2
Are you sure it's not a driver problme ? Or maybe your mouse isn't dirty ?

Without further details, I'm going to close this bug as WFM. It works fine for me using Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Mac OS X and Windows XP. If you have further problems, and are using a new profile, please file a new bug for them.
