Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 When clearing out Cookies, there are some Cookies people would like to keep. For example, - often used logon pages (where user selects 'remember my credentials') - settings for particular sites, like - Google search site (preferences) - Yahoo TV schedule site or www.TVGuide.com (where user enters in their location to get the correct schedule) - etc. Currently, I have to manully go through all of the Cookies so I don't delete the ones I want to keep. I don't like to have to re-enter in my credentials and/or settings every time I visit these pages. And, I don't want my Cookies to fill up with a lot of garbage (often ads on a website that set a Cookie). When user selects to have their credentials and settings remembered, Cookies for these pages should be put in a separate folder, not in the same directory all Cookies go. This would allow the user to clear all Cookies (in this directory only), except for the ones specifically marked to be remembered, by clicking one button. If they wanted to clear the 'remembered' ones, they could go to that directory and click "Clear All" (for this directory only). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click "Tools" --> "Options" --> "Privacy" section --> "Cookies" --> "View Cookies" button. 2. View the large list of Cookies. 3. Highlight the Cookies you want to delete, but not the ones you want to save. Actual Results: This is very tedious and time consuming. If user deletes them all, or accidentally deletes one of the ones they wanted to keep, they then have to go back to that webpage and re-enter in all of the settings/info. Expected Results: For settings and credentials marked as 'remember' to be saved in a different directory so that the user can delete all of the other Cookies with one click without losing the information they want saved.
