User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Go to http://www.winnipegmovies.com/ and use the drop down menu at the top "Theaters" and click on the item "Movies by listing". The broswer will become unresponsive for about 5 to 10 seconds and then crash. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to http://www.winnipegmovies.com/ 2.Use the drop down menus Theaters->Movies by listing 3.The browser will stall and then crash Actual Results: the browser crashes after about 5 to 10 seconds. Expected Results: I should be able to open the page "Movies by listings". The drop down menu item "Movies by listing" is set up to take the user to http://www.winnipegmovies.com/index.php?c=movies If I copy this URL into the address bar the page opens correctly. It is not the page the drop down menu directs the user to that crashes Mozilla. There is something else in the way the drop down menu is coded that crashes Mozilla. I am not sure what it could be. This site works as expected in Safari. In Safari the drop down menu works and opens the page as expected.

This worksforme with a current trunk build.... Paul, would you be willing to test this with a 1.8a6 build by any chance?
I am unable to test with 1.8a6 since this version crashes upon launch for me. I also fouund 1.8a5 very unstable on my Mac. I filled a seperate bug for this issue. Untile the alphas/betas increase in stability I will not test with them. The last time I tested 1.8a6 my OS became so unstable the only way I found to resolve the instability was an archieve and install of 10.3-10.3.7. After reinstalling a fresh copy of the OS I launched Moz 1.8a6 which crashed upon launch. I will not test with it since there is a remote possibility Mozilla 1.8a6 was either responsible or partially responsible for the OS instability I experienced where many apps, besides 1.8a6, would crash. Before reinstalling the OS I even had the crash reporter crash for me. I had never seen this happen before. BTW I am running a B/W G3-350 with 512mb running 10.3.7.
Seems to wfm with Mozilla 2005020506 on Mac OS 10.3.7
wfm. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20041231 Please try with a new profile. And, please append Talkback ID and the crash log if it crashes without fail.
Version: unspecified → 1.7 Branch
Please reopen if you can reproduce with a recent build.
