I use a Logitech wireless mouse with USB Overdrive, though this crash occurs
with any brand mouse.  I've programmed the right button to close a window with
"command-w."  This frequently causes Mozilla to unexpectedly quit, most often
when I have several tabs open (or have recently had several tabs open).  This
crash has occurred on rare instances when I use the keystroke combination
"command-s" instead of the mouse, but most often with the programmed mouse key.
 This crash has persisted through the last several updates.

The crash may also be more frequent when there are 2 or 3 pageouts on my system,
seemingly pointing to a memory problem.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.View several pages, usually with many pages in tabs or with several browser
windows open
2.Use programmed mouse key (command-w) to close a tab or window
3.After successfully closing several windows this way, the browser will
unexpectedly quit when you close another window

It's random but frequent.

Actual Results:

Bah, we need to get some more recent OS libs onto the Talkback server.

Bruce: there are a bunch of different crashes in your crash log. The main ones are:
A crash in CFRelease or objc_msgSend down under a function APEBundleMessage,
which looks to me like a Haxie with a refcounting bug. This seems to be your
most common recent crash. Please disable all haxies. This looks like Smart
Scroll but might be DefaultFolder X, or TypeIt4Me.

The other crash which you suffered from a lot a while back was a crash in
__floatdidf called from the Java VM.

You've crashed in CopyBits() a few times, because of QuickDraw bugs that we're

I disabled Smart Scroll on 2-5-05 and there have been no crashes under
circumstances that caused crashes before, until tonight.  It crashed with

Bug still exists with latest build as of 9-27-05

Bug also crops up at times when clicking on a text field to enter data.  This
bug happens most frequently when there are 4 or more pageouts on my system (Mac
Powerbook 800MHz, 1 gig RAM, OS 10.3.4)

This same bug has returned in the latest build of Firefox 2.0  I'm using another Logitech wireless mouse with a button programmed to send the "command-w" to close  a window.  Using command-w from the keyboard doesn't cause a problem, but after a few such uses of the mouse within a few minutes of each other, Firefox will crash.  It most often simply exits, but at times will hang and must be force-quit

When pluginreg.dat is generated on a PPC machine you can't use it on an Intel machine in this case. Delete pluginreg.dat to fix the problem.

We should probably run loadability checks on plugins every time instead of relying on the cache, otherwise we'll run into problem like this. Working on it...
