The browser will keep more than one cookies with the same name from the same
domain. Subsequent cookies with the same name should overwrite previous values
stored under that name.

Reproducible: Always
Could you please post an example URL or testcase that demonstrates the bug? More
details are needed here for this to become a useful bug report.

I am debugging an application and noticed more than one cookie for my domain
with the same name (but different values). This should not be possible and is
likely the root cause for many of your "cookies don't work" bugs.
Summary: Two cookies with same name for same browser should not be allowed → Two cookies with same name for same domain should not be allowed
And how were you seeing this? By reading your cookies.txt file? Or with server
side script?
don't forget that cookies with different paths are different cookies (according
to the spec)

Russell, could you please answer Gavin's question (while keeping in mind
Michiel's point)?

From reporter via email:

"Looking at cookies in your Options dialog."

Russell, please post any additional information in the bug instead of emailing
me directly.
Russell, what is the information listed for those two cookies, exactly? Please
include the "Path" part...

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
