Subfolder created in Inbox populated by a message filter displays incorrect
number of messages in status bar. For instance, 5 messages will display in
folder, while status bar states there are 6. If a search is done on " " in that
folder, the "missing email" will display in the search results. Note that the
subject line, sender and date of the "missing" message were identical (but send
a few minutes apart).

If you notice this symptom recurring, try closing Thunderbird and deleting the 
.MSF file correspondig to the folder where you see the problem.
I KEEP GETTING NOTIFED THAT I'VE RECEIVED NEW MAIL AND THERE IS NONE WHEN I 
CHECK MY INBOX.  IS MY MAIL BEING DELETED?  OR, IS THUNDERBIRD JUST CONFUSED?
