1. Where are the signatures? I keep at least 3 or 4 (a personal signature, a
business signature, and one for my club members). In Thunderbird, I couldn't
find any place to store signatures.
2. Where is the "Send and Recieve All" button? It's the one I most often use in
Outlook Express. I don't want to send emails out immediately, because I often
remember that I need to add one more thing right after hitting the SEND button.
So, I'd rather have the SEND button simply place the messages in the Outbox, so
I can send them later, when I am ready. This seems to be impossible to
accomplish in Thunderbird.
3. The CC and BCC fields should ALWAYS be available in a new email. Why is it so
difficult to set that up? There should be a simple option to select if you want
the BCC field or not. It feels very cumbersome that I have to drag an address
to the CC field before a new button appears that will enable me to select the
BCC field. Also, there should be an "Add to BCC" button.
4. Where is the "Disconnect" button? Lots of us still use dial-up, you know! In
Outlook Express, I was able to customize the toolbar by adding a "Disconnect"
button. No such thing in Thunderbird.
5. I can't even conncet to the Internet by using either Firefox or Thunderbird,
because it appears that I might have inadvertently changed something in my
dialing options, but I can never get back to those dialing options again.
Neither Firefox nor Thunderbird give me that option. Instead, I just get an
errror message and a "Redial" button. Why don't you let me change the options
first, before "Redialing"? I checked all the Account settings and Options, but
none of them give me access to the dialing options that seem to be messed up.
6. On top of this, there are major problems with the Address Book. The lack of
any good way to sunchronize the Address Books on 2 computers. And the lack of
any way to import/export Lists of records ("Distribution Lists").
Reproducible: Always
Actual Results:
I could probably find more stuff missing, if I dig deeper, but I just don't have
the time to waste on this any more.
So many options are missing, or don't work, that I truly wonder how you ever
expect people to switch from Outlook Express to Thunderbird. I am a "techie"
guy, and I am struggling with all this. Less technical people, like my wife,
wouldn't spend an hour trying to make it work. They'd ditch Thunderbird in 5
minutes, in total frustration.
Too many things are missing. Too many things don't work as expected.
I hope you guys can fix it. I am rooting for you. I keep wanting to switch, but
I keep getting disappointed and having to go back to Outlook Express.

Reporter, please write 1 report per enhancement. A report like this can't be accepted, because different people are responsible for different parts of the code. And search first, because most of them (if not all) are already filed.
